Iran ‘Hot Summer’ licensed for public screenings

Iran award-winning film ‘Hot Summer’ by Ebrahim Irajzad is authorized to be shown in Iranian cinemas.

In the latest session held by an Iran-based executive council in charge of supervising and assessing films, the film was approved to be screened in Iranian theaters.     

The movie was critically and publically acclaimed at Fajr Film Festival held in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

 Ebrahim Irajzad’s ‘Hot Summer’ raked in 13 nominations in various categories of the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival..

The film is about Nasrin () whose domestic life is suffering miseries. She knows getting custody of her daughter in case of divorce is next to impossible. Therefore, she secretly takes the little girl with her to an unknown location somewhere in Tehran. Her husband finds them, though.

Starring Saber Abar, Parinaz Izadyar and Ali Mosaffa, the film brought a nomination to Mosaffa for Best Actor Crystal Simorgh.

Izadyar received a Crystal Simorgh nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role at 2017 Fajr Film Festival for her role in the film.
